Rogue Solar FAQs
Do solar panels actually last as long as people say?
Yes — the panels we put on your roof carry a 25-year warranty, and real-world data shows most are still cranking out 80%+ of their original power at that mark. Degradation is slow, not sudden.
What does installation day actually look like?
Expect a very brief (minutes) planned power shutoff while we connect your system, longer with a battery. We'll schedule it with you.
Realistically, how much will I save?
Your savings depend on your roof, shading, and power use. We'll run the math for your address before you sign anything
So I go solar — do I still get a bill from the power company?
A small one, usually. It covers staying connected to the grid and any power you pull at night. Net metering credits from your daytime production often cancel most of it out.
What happens to the panels if I eventually sell my house?
They stay with the house. Owned systems can raise a home's sale price. If yours is leased or financed, we'll walk you and your buyer through the transfer or payoff options.
Will my system still produce anything when it's overcast?
It won't stop working, just slow down. Expect somewhere between 10% and 25% of peak output on a gray day. Rain actually helps — it rinses the panels.
Are there tax breaks or rebates where I live?
The 30% federal tax credit for homeowner-owned systems ended on December 31, 2025. Other incentives depend on where you live and how you pay, so we check what applies during your quote.
What do I need to do to keep the system running well?
Not much. Hose them off occasionally, let us do a yearly check, and that's about it. We also monitor performance remotely, so if output dips, we usually catch it before you notice.
